Miles Jesu forms priests from among the ranks of its consecrated domus members, but also welcomes Diocesan priests to the Institute. For additional information or to have someone contact you regarding this vocation, follow this link.
What are the advantages of Miles Jesu membership for a diocesan priest?
- Spiritual and Moral Support – Today more than ever, with the faster pace of living, the influences of a highly secularized society, and the shortage of priests, we need one another to persevere in our vocations and to be effective and efficient in our apostolates. As one priest put it "I'm so busy doing God's work that I have no time for God!" The Miles Jesu Faith Family includes a brotherhood of bishops and priests absolutely loyal to the official Magesterium of the Church in faith, morals, and discipline. As priests in Miles Jesu we help one another persevere in our vocations. We make ourselves available to help one another in moments of crisis, to grow in holiness and to deepen our zeal for the salvation of souls.
- Miles Jesu literature and formation – As a member of our Faith Family, you'll receive a monthly letter written by Miles Jesu bishops and priests that pertain to issues that affect priests. Each priest member also receives the Miles Jesu International Newsletter. All priest members are encouraged to become familiarized with the spirituality and formation of Miles Jesu through The Epiphany Journey, the Miles Jesu Faith Family Handbook.
- Participation in Miles Jesu Apostolates – Miles Jesu diocesan priests and bishop members also participate in Miles Jesu Boy's and Girls' Towns, soup kitchens, Path to Rome conferences and retreats, among other activities.
The Miles Jesu Seminary Program
When a man stumbles onto a priceless treasure he rejoices and feels compelled to share his discovery with anyone and everyone who will listen. The Miles Jesu Seminary is like that. It’s a unique seminary – comparable to the "Green Beret" of seminaries – especially for those who are willing to go an extra step for the love of God. It takes an already well-tested man to enter. Few are called to it and it produces a select group of priests with very special training, ready to go anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice for the good of the Church.
