Consecrated Men's Vocation

Miles Jesu priests are formed according to these precepts:

they take vows of poverty, chastity and obedience
priests are loyal to the Holy Father and the Magisterium
priests are ordained to train and form lay men to be saints
priests are formed with a deep devotion to Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament and to the Blessed Mother
they are always available for confessions

These "Domus" members live in community and work outside the community in their professions using their consecrated life as a Catholic role model for those of their co-workers that may be estranged from the Church. (Paul Murphy was a great example of this type of Miles Jesu member.) The community life is a great support for people who have a vocation to continue in their profession, but have the desire to live the consecrated life.

Some of the men of Miles Jesu are asked, in a spirit of complete availability, to study for the priesthood and thus dedicate their lives to the care of souls in Miles Jesu communities and without. In the formation of a Miles Jesu priest, special emphasis is placed on transmitting an absolute loyalty to the Vicar of Christ, reverence to the Blessed Sacrament and a complete availability in hearing confessions.
