Continuity Prayers
Prayer for England
O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
and our most gentle Queen and Mother,
look down, in mercy, upon England thy Dowry,
and upon us all who greatly hope and trust in thee.
By thee it was that Jesus, our Saviour and our hope, was given unto the world;
and He has given thee to us that we may hope still more.
Plead for us thy children
whom thou didst receive and accept at the foot of the Cross,
O sorrowful Mother!
Intercede for our separated brethren,
that together with thee in the one true fold,
they may be united to the chief Shepherd, the Vicar of thy Son.
Pray for us all dear Mother, that by faith - fruitful in good works -
we may all deserve to see and praise God,
together with thee in our heavenly home. Amen
Mary Stuart's Prayer
Keep us, O God, from all pettiness;
let us be large in thought, in word, in deed.
Let us be done with fault-finding
and leave off all self-seeking.
May we put away all pretense
and meet each other face to face
without self-pity
and without prejudice.
May we never be hasty in judgment
and always generous.

and make us to grow calm, serene and gentle.
Teach us to put into action our better impulses,

I renounce Satan and all his works and pomps,

Glorious God,
give me grace to amend my life,

And give me, good Lord,
a humble, lowly, quiet, peaceable, patient, charitable, kind,
tender and pitiful mind, in all my works
and all my words and all my thoughts,
to have a taste of Your holy, blessed Spirit.
Give me, good Lord, a full faith,
a firm hope, and a fervent charity,
a love of You incomparably above
the love of myself.
Give me, good Lord, a longing to be with You,
not to avoid the calamities of this world,
nor so much to attain the joys of heaven,
as simply for love of You.
And give me, good O Lord, Your love and favor,
which my love of You, however great it might be,
could not deserve were it not for Your great goodness.
These things, good Lord, that i pray for,
give me Your grace to labor for. Amen.

O Almighty God, who in Thine infinite goodness hast sent Thine only-begotten Son into this world to open once more the gates of heaven, and to teach us how to know, love and serve thee, have mercy on thy people who dwell in Wales. Grant to them the precious gift of faith, and unite them in the one true Church founded by they divine Son; that, acknowledging her authority and obeying her voice, they may serve thee, and worship thee as thou desirest in this world, and obtain for themselves everlasting happiness in the world to come: through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for Ireland
Oh God, whose love is infinite and whose mercy is above all thy works, hearken to our prayers for our dear Ireland. Pour down upon her, we beseech Thee, the abundance of Thy blessings, and comfort her with the gladness of Thy divine consolations. With humble and contrite hearts we confess that we have sinned before Thee. We have not always been true to the glorious example of our beloved saints.
But Confident in Thy aid, and trusting in Thy mercy, we promise henceforth to strive, as far as in us lies, to restore the ancient glories of our faith, to deepen our devotion to Mary, our blessed Mother, and to make the virtue of purity, the traditional glory of our race, shine with ever brightening-splendour throughout our land. To this end may we serve Thee, O God, with fear, and rejoice before Thee with trembling. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
